Garden

and your skin was not
my skin
I could touch it
without feeling
pressing
without weight
and your bones caught like crooked beaks
starving a place in the firmament
and your skin was not
my skin
I could touch it
and its heat was like breath
like you dreamed a feveror it dreamed you
as light entering the body
without feeling it
and the hollows of your bones
caught my shadow, like teeth
pressing
without weight
