Stephen Mead is an Outsider multi-media artist and writer. Since the 1990s he’s been grateful to many editors for publishing his work in print zines and eventually online. Currently, he is resident artist/curator for The Chroma Museum, featuring artistic renderings of LGBTQI historical figures, organizations and allies predominantly before Stonewall.

Put my profile there.
Give it the shine of September suns when the very air
is growing dark with quiet, & winter is coming
wise with sleep.

Hues be brisk, be also startling, a leaf's vesper,
that autumnal call, harvest in the replenishment
deep, deep in dreams of woods: this Oak as gold,
this form supine seeding every Spring chrysalis
when, like Lazarus, all belief is reborn,
confident of earth & what its goodness means.
